Questions About Stump Grinding
How do I contact you?
Call us at (970-37STUMP - 970-377-8867). If we are
busy grinding stumps, we will return your call
promptly. Communication is the lifeblood of our
business and we take it seriously. In fact, when we go
out for estimates we will notify you that we’re in
route. If we are unexpectedly delayed, we will give a
courtesy call. Good communication is key to getting
your job completed in a timely and efficient manner.
When can you come?
Many times it will be same day service or next day
service. When we come out for estimates, we bring
our equipment and are ready to start once we have
your approval.
What areas does your stump grinding service
cover?
We work all over northern Colorado. This includes
(but is not limited to) Fort Collins, Loveland,
Wellington, Berthoud, Greeley, Ault, Timnath,
Longmont, Severance, Pierce, Windsor, Johnstown.
and anywhere near these areas that have stumps to
remove.
How much do you charge?
Please call me for a FREE estimate 970-377-8867.
Can you grind a stump that’s in my backyard?
Yes. We only need 36” to fit our stump grinder
through a gate or walkway.
Do I need to be there for you to grind the stump?
No, we just need access to the stump(s) and a way to
contact you with questions, authorization and
approval to do the job.
What can I replant once the stump is ground?
Normal stump grinding goes 4-6” below the soil line
of the stump, making it ideal for laying sod, or
planting annuals. If I need more than 4-6”, what is
the maximum depth you can grind?
How high, or tall, can the stump be?
We carry a chainsaw and can make an additional cut
before grinding the stump. You don’t need to risk
cutting it yourself.
Do you haul away the chips and debris when you
are finished?
Stumps up to 16" are cleaned up at no extra charge.
Anything over that, will be an extra charge.
If I don't want to pay extra for clean-up, what can
I do with the wood chips?
•
Wood chips or mulch have a few uses to the
average person.
•
Wood chips can be applied to garden beds or
trees to retain moisture and give more eye-
appeal as the mulch can be somewhat
attractive looking.
•
It can be used as a weed barrier. Throw down a
bunch of mulch onto your worst weed bed and
the weeds will have a hard time growing
through all the wood chips.
•
It makes a fine base for your compost pile.
Composted wood chips improve the quality of
any garden soil.
•
Apply a thick layer of mulch over areas
determined to be muddy such as dog runs or
any un-kept area of your yard or property.
